       as president August 1, 2004 – August 1, 2009).  This prestigious state board

       regulates the practice of veterinary medicine and the goal is to protect the public

       from unscrupulous veterinary practices. Meetings are held bi-monthly. (I was one of

       3 nominees submitted to the governor in February 2009 for appointment to the board

       in August 2009).

Duties included management of all aspects of the Meat Laboratory including supervision of student employees, buying and selling of meat products as well as laboratory and classroom teaching duties. Additional duties included management of Sul Ross Swine Farm, Bull Test, Steer Performance Test, Livestock and Meat Judging contests as well as other duties that would present themselves.
