Welcome to the Home Page for Animal Physiology  (Biological Sciences 320).   This course, which  is offered each Fall and Spring Quarter through the School of Biological Sciences at Louisiana Tech University, is taught by Dr. John M. Wakeman.

Biological Sciences 320 is designed to provide a general and comparative approach to the principles and concepts of Animal Physiology.  The study of Physiology has many interdisciplinary aspects in that it integrates Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.  Thus this is a subject that presents  challenges both to the teacher and to the student.

The course is organized into four parts....

bulletPart I is concerned with the central principles of Physiology
bulletPart II deals with nervous systems
bulletPart III deals with muscular and endocrine systems
bulletPart IV covers osmoregulation,  circulation, and gas exchange systems

The course textbook is Principles of Animal Physiology by Chris Moyes and Patricia Schulte
