Promoting Excellence in Wildlife Stewardship through Science & Education

Our mission is to support Louisiana Tech University and the surrounding community in the study, management, and conservation of wildlife.

Who We Are

The Louisiana Tech Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society is made up of students who enjoy working with wildlife and their associated habitats, share a love of the outdoors, and know the value of natural resources and their conservation. We understand the importance of conserving biodiversity, sustaining productivity, and ensuring responsible use of wildlife resources for the benefit of the public and future generations.

Why should you get involved?

1.       Make friends who enjoy the outdoors just as much as you!

2.       Meet wildlife professionals and learn about their careers!

3.       Participate in fun events, like birding excursions, organized hunts, and professional meetings!

4.       Learn about professional development and certification through TWS!

5.       You don’t have to be a wildlife major – just a wildlife enthusiast!
