Four Louisiana Tech University programs have been recognized as the best in the nation by student recruitment website Intelligent.com. The University’s online master’s degree programs in engineering and technology management, history and industrial engineering all ranked in the top 25 of their prospective categories, while the health informatics program ranked No. 48.

The Louisiana Tech master’s degree in engineering and technology management ranked fourth among online master’s degree programs in engineering management across the U.S. and earned Louisiana Tech a designation as the best public research school for its ranking.

The master’s degree in history earned the No. 20 spot in its category and accolades as the history program with the most experienced faculty in the country, while the master’s degree in health informatics program earned the No. 48 spot in its category for industry-leading faculty.

The website ranked the master’s degree in industrial engineering twice, placing it at No. 23 in the nation’s best overall online engineering degrees category and at No. 6 among industrial engineering programs. The website further noted that the program has the best alumni network and is the best research-focused program in the nation.

Intelligent.com is a student-focused research guide that assesses programs at more than 1,500 accredited colleges and universities based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment. The website calculated the 2020 rankings through a scoring system that includes student engagement, potential return on investment and third-party evaluations. The website offers curated guides which include the best degree programs as well as information about financial aid, internships and even study strategies.
