Faria Binte Hossain of Dhaka, Bangladesh, is pursuing her master’s in Molecular Science and Nanotechnology. She currently works under Dr. Gergana Nestorova as a research assistant in the Applied Genomics and Biotechnology Laboratory.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the School of Biological Sciences for nominating me for this year’s featured student award. I want to say without hesitation that the program curriculum, the seminar and sessions, the resources and faculties have been excellent,” Hossain said. “My research advisor, Dr. Gergana Nestorova has been a key figure in guiding me with my research. Louisiana Tech has been an amazing experience for me thanks to everyone involved.”
