Jamin Rankin

Jamin Rankin is the Trauma Program Manager at Ochsner LSU Health in Monroe.

He grew up LaSalle Parish and attended Louisiana Tech University after graduating from LaSalle High School in 2006. Rankin completed a degree in Biology in 2010 before returning to Louisiana Tech University and finishing Nursing school in 2013. His background includes experience in emergency, critical care, and flight nursing with an emphasis on clinical staff development prior to his role as a Trauma Program Manager.

Rankin’s experience as a flight nurse in northeast Louisiana opened his eyes to the need for additional trauma care in this region. His current role includes duties consisting of developing clinical, operational, and performance improvement processes for a new trauma program he helped start in 2021. 

Rankin holds the CEN, CFRN, TCRN, and CPEN certifications as well as a NREMT-B license. He is on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Emergency Nurses Association and serves as the Co-Chair for the Region 8 LERN Commission. Rankin has helped bring Stop the Bleed and Sudden Impact to the region as well as establishing Ochsner LSU Health Monroe as the only hospital car-seat fitting station in Region 8. He is a course faculty for TNCC and instructor for ENPC, RTTDC, and PHTLS.

Rankin enjoys spending time with his wife Carly (also a Louisiana Tech nursing graduate) and his two children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing.
