Abigail McAlister is a graduate student in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Louisiana Tech University.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana Tech in 2016, and she hopes to obtain a MS degree in Nutrition and Dietetics this year. McAlister is employed full-time as a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Agent with the LSU AgCenter, where she teaches adults in Caddo and Bossier parishes about eating healthy and keeping a healthy lifestyle. She’s married and has two fur babies.
“What I love most about Tech and the graduate Nutrition and Dietetics program is the sense of community, even with our program being completely online,” McAlister said. “The professors are very personable, helpful, and really go out of their way to make sure we succeed and have fulfilling learning experiences. Tech is unique because you can actually get to know your professors and feel comfortable asking them any questions you may have. You don’t feel like you’re ‘lost in the crowd’ or just another student in this program.”
