Brynn Granger chose Health Informatics and Information Management because she wanted to be able to work in the medical field, but being a doctor or a nurse was not the right career choice.
The Jennings native is in her third year in the HIIM curriculum. She is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and joined so she could be involved on campus.
“The healthcare industry is constantly improving and I want to be part of improving healthcare so that patients receive the best possible care,” Granger said. “My ultimate goal in this career field is to be a chief operations officer at a hospital around the Lafayette area. I want to be fully involved with the day to day operations of a hospital, and a position like this could make a difference in many patients’ lives by improving the hospital as a whole.”
