Ruston native Kalea Nelson is a Human Development and Family Science major because she has “always been a natural caregiver.”

She aims to give children self-esteem and independence, and majoring in Human Development and Family Science has given Nelson knowledge and experience to make this dream a reality.

“I’ve truly enjoyed each class and practica experience,” Nelson said. “I love Louisiana Tech and the genuine passion from each professor. This community is continuously cheering me on!”
