Lauren Rosenston, a master’s student in Nutrition and Dietetics, is originally from West Chester, Ohio, and has spent most of her professional career in the Midwest.
“Nutrition and dietetics was a very natural choice for me professionally,” Rosenston said. “I had always had an interest in food and health and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. Dietetics has been the perfect fit. Working towards a master’s degree in nutrition has only enhanced my skills as a practicing registered dietitian as well as increased my knowledge of the vastly growing research within the field.”
After completion of her master’s degree, Rosenston hopes to obtain board certification as a specialist in pediatric nutrition and work on a certification in weight management.
“I also hope to be able to mentor and teach dietetic interns in the future,” Rosenston said. “Louisiana Tech has provided me many opportunities throughout my graduate degree and dietetic internship program. I have been pushed outside of my comfort zone and become a better provider because of it. I discovered my passion for outpatient work, which has helped guide my career choices as well.”
