Shelby Knodel is a Health Informatics and Information Management major who lives in Bossier City. Online courses provide her the opportunity to work full time in the healthcare field, and she plans to use her degree to help improve the care people receive in healthcare facilities.
“I waited seven years after high school to even think about college because I had no idea what I was interested in,” Knodel said. “I started working at a clinic and immediately soaked in all the information I could. I was interested in so many different aspects of healthcare and wanted to be a part of this world.”
Knodel learned about the HIIM degree at Tech and knew right away it would provide the right path.
“I adore all of amazing teachers and have learned so much already from them,” Knodel said. “They inspire me daily to work courageously to accomplish my goals.”
