2023 Southeastern Forestry Conclave

The Southern Forestry Clubs Conclave is hosted by a different school each year and helps to develop team building, camaraderie, and social skills while strengthening teams through diverse competition. This year, the Louisiana Tech Forestry Club will be hosting the 64th Annual Southeastern Conclave.

Hundreds of forestry students from all across the Southeastern United States will gather at Lincoln Parish Park March 9-11 for the event. 

Students will compete in the technical, forestry based competitions of compass and pacing, DBH estimation, dendrology, photogrammetry, pole classification, timber estimation, wildlife identification, and wood identification.

They will also engage in the physical competitions of archery, axe throwing, birling, bow sawing, chainthrowing, crosscut sawing, knife throwing, log chopping, log rolling, pole climbing, and pole felling.
