Forestry students place in annual Conclave

Louisiana Tech forestry students competed in the annual Conclave held by the Association of Southern Forestry Clubs. The 10 students, accompanied by faculty adviser Dr. William Patterson, went to the University of Arkansas-Monticello for the event. While none of the students had ever participated in the Conclave before, Cody Garrett, of Coushatta, received second place in Ax Throw and third place in the Knife Throw category. In addition, Dani Kennedy, of Pineville, and Jessica LaGrone, of Shreveport, received sixth place in Women’s Crosscut. LaGrone also competed in the Women’s Bowsaw category.
