Tech’s Center for Children and Families welcomes guest speaker

The Center for Children and Families at Louisiana Tech’s School of Human Ecology is hosting a presentation by Susie Amick, a registered nurse and a certified Lamaze Instructor, December 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Davison Hall. Amick’s presentation titled, “Brestfeeding: Past, Present and Future” is free and open to the public. In addition to being a registered nurse and certified Lamaze Instructor, Amick is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a certified CPR instructor, a Child Care Health Consultant, and a Re-solve Neonatal Grief Counselor.  She currently serves as a lactation consultant at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, La.
