Dietetic Internship

Second Round Matching for Spring 2022

The Dietetic Internship at Louisiana Tech University has open positions for second round matching.  Additionally, we are excited to announce that full tuition scholarships (fees not included) will be awarded for dietetic interns.  Guidelines for applying to our program for the second round matching are:

  • You must have completed DPD verification requirements and received your degree prior to the start date of Sept. 1.
  • You must have a DPD Curriculum GPA of 2.85 or above to be considered.
  • You must have taken the GRE prior to acceptance.

If you do not meet the above stated criteria you will not be considered for the program.

If you meet eligibility criteria:

  • Submit your application on DICAS to Louisiana Tech University.
  • You can use a personal statement already composed for a previously applied to program as long as it includes a response to our required questions. Application instructions are available online.
  • Three references are required and can be submitted from academic, work, or volunteer references. No personal/friend references will be considered.
  • You do not have to apply to the Louisiana Tech Graduate School before applying on DICAS for the DI. If accepted into the DI program you must then apply for acceptance into the Louisiana Tech Graduate School. Students who meet DI requirements typically meet Louisiana Tech Graduate School requirements for admission.
  • In order to fill the positions in a timely manner, applications will be reviewed and evaluated based on content provided on DICAS. Supplementary material mailed, faxed, or sent by e-mail will not be considered. Upload all supplementary documents (conformation of GRE scores, resume, city ranking preference) onto DICAS.
  • If you have questions on content that was not covered above please e-mail me at

We look forward to receiving and reviewing your application.

About our program

Louisiana Tech provides a hometown feel with extraordinary experiences. Our internship is also a cost-effective program both academically and geographically. Online and hybrid courses during the internship allow students to work towards earning their Master’s degree. Interns are able to receive financial assistance through FAFSA along with many scholarship opportunities.

All Dietetic Interns are required to abide by the policies of each healthcare facility they are in for rotations, including vaccination requirements. Interns who do not meet the requirements of a healthcare facility, including COVID-19 vaccination status, are not guaranteed placement in that facility or an alternative facility, which will impede completion of the program.
